If you have forgotten your password or don't have access to the original mobile phone number or Post Office GOV.UK Verify app where you set up your login codes, it is possible to recover one of these details by following the instructions in the appropriate article below:
If you have lost both of these details however, for security unfortunately it will not be possible for you to access your Post Office account. This means that you will need to register a new Verify account to continue to access GOV.UK services.
As it's only possible to have one Post Office account per email address, there are two ways you can continue from here:
Do you have another email address you can use?
If you do have another email address you can use, to create a new Post Office account please go to https://www.signin.service.gov.uk/start, select the GOV.UK service you require from the list, and select that you are using Verify for the first time.
Do you only have the one email address?
In order for you to create a new Post Office account using the same email address, we will need to deactivate your original account. In this case, please send an email to email@example.com from the email address your Post Office account is registered to, including the following information:
- Confirmation that you have forgotten your login details and request for us to deactivate the account to register again
- Your full name (including any middle names)
- Your date of birth
Once our team have received this request, we will proceed with the deactivation and contact you as soon as it is possible to re-register.
